Photographer’s Note

after a rainy mountain hike, it was wonderful to arrive to this place. The sun became visible too, very welcome after a wet day. The exposure was not perfect because of the difficult lighting conditions, but this place was perfect.

A most impressive view and a great shot. It seems a bit unusal to see a photo that basically consists of black and green. I like the richly saturated colours and the strong contrasts, and the sunrays shining down upon the little barn look terrific.

Hello Boa,
Despite the dark weather, the black colour of the river and the dark green mountains you've succeeded in shooting a very beautiful nature picture. The rays of light coming in from the gap in the clouds are absolutely important for that.
The picture is also well composed.

Hej Boa,
There is a lot of drama captured in this picture. The light conditions may have been difficult, but you have managed these conditions excellently. The sunrays hit the landscape like spotlights. The streaming river down to the fjord is a major part of you composition. No problems finding beautiful places in Norway!

What a marvelous landscape, its not difficult to get association to great Norwegian Landscape Painters as Tideman especially with this heavenly light over the fjord or lake.
did you try to fish in the river :)

Hello Boa,

This is a beautiful place and you have captured it well with a fine composition. The triangular f/g is a great compositional aspect, as is the diagonal sweep of the river. The fine rugged b/g and the sunbeam, highlighting the focal hut, are the icing on the cake.

This is Norway as I have seen it myself: dark and rainy! (:- In spite of that you managed to arrange a fine and interesting composition where this fjord retains all its dramatic and very scandinavian charm. The river in the fg gives dynamism to the image and create a wider sense of depth, the lonely house at the center is a fine focal point and the sun ray descending from the clouds create a romantic atmosphere. Where are the vikings? (:-)

Nice landscape and a sky typical from Norway as I got to know the country... The highlights are a bit burned but the ray of light coming through onto the farmhouse is very nice

Bonjour Boa,
l'ambiance est suberbe, les lumières inhabituelles. Elles sont tellement bien capturées, tellement subtiles.
Bravo aussi pour le POV un peu surélevé et ce cadrage qui équilibre bien chaque élément.
