Photographer’s Note
To me it seems like all the great ideas are cooked up either when you are bored or when you are sleeping.
To me this photo seemd like a great idea at this hour.
Ok, I'm tired as I just got home from work.
I've been to the dentist today...I really don't like the dentist (not him personally) or the price...
Yes I filled a cavity.
Maybe that is why I find this lone cavit.... person in the window interesting.
This is simply a photo I took during the opening celebrations for Stavanger being European Capital of Culture for 2008.
I was simply bored and cold and I thought the lone window on the building side looked kind of interesting.
Well enough from me.
Increased saturation about 10 points and added 5 points of saturation to the blues.
Enjoy the view.

Hei Odd Jarle!
Interesting shot and I like your composition with this warm glow of indoor light contrasting to the blue exterior.
The perspective makes it look almost skew, but it isnt.
Well done!
God kveld nordfra!

Odd,
Interesting compo here, with all of those geometric elements. The lighting windows is a nice object.

Hi Odd Jarle,
great composition. Really like geometrical pattern of the same, blue cold colour of outside and one different spot, warm orange inside. Man is an additional plus, giving sense of dimension.
Kind regards,
Jeri

Hi Odd Jarle,
nice one, good compo but maybe could be still better without perspective.

Hello Odd
Cool greys with a spot of warm gold make a great combination. Interesting that the outline of the man provides the only curved lines in the whole frame. Very effective!
Best wishes Maggie

Hehe, I liked that "cavity" concept and how it came to your mind for the shot, Odd Jarle... here you have a double break of the patterns of the building - the guy, and the warm light; and that's good.. I find your image very attractive for "playing" with it in PP, just for fun... I include in the WS a possible version... Congratulations and regards, Daniel

Well your boredom has led to my entertainment. This is a really cool shot. I really like how the orange light from inside the window contrasts and complements the blue windows on the outside. The composition is perfect. I like the workshop Daniel did as well. The windows look better, but I like how you can see the man’s face better in this version.

Ryan

Hello Odd Jarle,
I agree with you this was a great idea of photo: the composition is simple so that we can focus on the subject, there are a game of colors between the blue of the windows and the orange provided by the artificial inner lightning and there is this man providing some life to the scene.
Simple, but efficient. How to make an interesting shot with our day to day environment.
Yves.

Hello Odd,
Jolie composition, bleue et orange comme je les aime !
La fenêtre orange tranche bien avec le reste, mais je crois que j'aurais cadré un tout petit peu plus serré pour ôter le tout petit bout d'orange en bas à gauche.
Bon week-end

Hi Odd. A good example of how to create a beautiful shot from our everyday environment. The man looks as if he is trying to escape from his monotonous life reflected in the repetitive nature of the building which surrounds him. (Hey, I'm trying to be a bit symbolic in my critique!) Well seen. Chris
