Photographer’s Note

I just got a red filter, and started using it today. So I went down to stavanger, and found this statue. I shot it from various directions. I hope you like it.

Please let me know what I could do differently to create better photos.

I like your photo very much.
Althought there are some points you have to see.
First of all the statue dip from the right.
And farthemore i don't like the cars in the back.

Good use of the filter Halgeir. Very effectful result and shot from what appears to be the best pov. Nice on - still an adjustment of the tilt had been ok..

Excellent textures in the modern metal sculpture!
Good details are captured and the black and white has a fine tonal range...

Hi Halgeir, I don't pretend to know what the statue is all about but my suggestions for improvement are to either (i) get so close in on an abstract shape that the foreground and background don't appear (then post on TL) or (ii) stand further back and show the thing in context of where it is (and post on TE). I really like the B&W treatment and it's certainly an interesting piece of metal. Kind regards, Paul.

Beautiful artwork and good use of your new filter, the metal surface is fascinating, compliments Halgeir, my suggestion about this photo is to eliminate the right side of the image, the car is distracting.

Art is proparbly thee most discussed definition in the world, I'm not even going to start on my views of what is and what is not.
You have managed well to capture the sculpture here, POV is good and the light on the target really makes the shapes stand out.
There is however something strange in the light in the top right corner of the photo, something about the colour gradient.
