Photographer’s Note
Suspicion...
What is it with us humans to instantly see something different as something suspect?
I was having a walk around Stavanger when I happened to sit down and observe this little scene.
The gilr with er back turned to the camera is a memeber of a Norwegian enviromental group called: Natur og Ungdom (Nature and the youths(or something like that)).
Now personally I can't stand these people... I don't see working for a better enviroment as something bad, but to me it seems like these people have got the whole impression a little bit wrong.
Now, this girl and some other people in their teens where sitting around a part of Stavanger when they suddenly started asking people out about different matters...and of course the inevitable "Care to join?" phrase...
Now the reason I can't stand thses people is simply because of what they stand for.
The ywant to change the enviroment for the better by promoting less use of oil related products, alternative sources of energy instead of eg. nuclear energy and so on.... but they have simply not yet come with a good explanation as what we should exchange those forms of energy production with.
And of course the once in a while overexaggiration of enviromental mishaps.
I don't really don't like them as people, but they really need to consider what they sometimes are saying...
Well then, having said that I am now going to bed before a new evening shift tomorrow.
I hope you find interest in the photo.

I like it. I haven't read the comment but I'm sure it gives a lot to the picture. I just want to say that sharpness would give it more points here. I like it though. Ok so I have read the note. I'm glad I did. I don't agree with you at all. I appreciate your comments but I think you represent a big part of the problem. I'm sorry, but I must say it. If we don't have people like them walking around and at least stimulating some sort of dialogue or thinking about the environment then we will end up screwed, yes we will or our children will. It is becoming obvious and people are starting to wake up to it and realize that we all need to make changes, little as they may be at first we all need to make them.
Think about it!

Hi Odd,
There was a song saying that "I know what is to be young" so i can assume what they are thinking about...
Anyway, i like the look of the girls and also it is reflecting the youth.

Hei Oddi,
Nice urban scene here. I like the photo, and your note... I think that you are right, there is no point in aboloshing something of use to the community with out having something to replace it. No matter where we look today, we see people who don't give a f***... So people who care are a comodity we need to refine to their true potential... Any how, someone propably had to kill an animal to make her shoes, and some chemical dye was propably used to color her clothes.... Hope she realizes this with time...
