Photographer’s Note

Ok, once again a photo from my "day of the new lens".
Or maybe more of mourning photo as I found out today that my other computer was seriously infected with spyware and viruses... could be bad, but luckily I have backups of everything important...like all my photos!

I took this photo while walking in the city park known as "Breiavatnet" in Stavanger.
I happened ot be passing a family tha twas out feeeding the pidgeons.
I took some shots at them and this one turned out to be the one with the most action and power.
Only thing that ruins the impression is the blasted bus that just had to pass at that moment... pleace ignore it!
The light was a bit hard that day so I had to adjust the levels to get the proper depth. Settings were 0.75.

I hope someone like it.

Hi Odd Jarle,

I like the theme, it´s very nice, sweet and sharp. But I think the green bus in the top is destracting. Perhaps you could have cropped it to lay more attention on the boy.

I agree with Mondaychild on the color of the bus which is destracting. Why not test a square format or pass to the black and white.

Nice photo, I like the way you captured the movement in this image and the composition. I think the photo is a bit cluttered in the background, but there is little to do about that... Nice work. TFS.

I know you didnt want to include the bus in the picture, So why not just cut the upper part of the picture away.

instead I think that bus adds color and dynamism to this beautiful scene in which child finds way of playing in the park in contrast with the urban location

Hi OJ,
I love the determined seriousness of the child. Your caption, "feeding birds is not easy' is very true; your subject would agree with me!! I really like the varying poses of the bird wings, but that fluttering is clearly intimidating. There's nothing wrong with the bus as a background but a tighter crop would improve the photo, at about the level of the bench.

The expression you have captured on the wee guys face is great. Also what i like about the shot is the movement all around it and the detail you have captured on the birds. TFS
