Photographer’s Note
I shot this image with a borowed lense. I borowed a lense from my camera dealer to see if there was any difference between my lense and the one I borroed. For reference please view my latest photos to see the tech problem. I hope you like this image shot of the art work raised to comemorate the battle at Hafrsfjord, the last battle fought to unite Norway.

Halgeir hi,this compo would have been fantastic if you have moved a little bit to avoid confonting the sun!POV is absolutely great, gives a gigantic sence!

Hello Halgeir,
You make well use of the principle of three here, in creating a dynamic image!
Backlight adds to the atmosphere, besides you get those strong shadows to add to your composition...
Nice work!

There is no obvious flaws visible in this image, but the strong backlight makes it difficult to say for sure... Let's see a couple of more first!

Goddagen Halgeir, mye bedre folhold med linsa her ser jeg...
Well obviously it must be the lens that it was something wrong with.
Great setting for the "Sverd i fjell" monument, the sharp background brings you just the right amount of impression.
I feel the light is maybe a little too sharp, especially an area behind the swords looks to be overexposed.
It's not much so it works.

Dear Halgeir,
The composition and pov is great indeed,
but the overall frame is a little overexposed.
Well done,
Regards Mammad.

Hi Halgeir,
An impressive monument to say the least and I think your perspective has added to its power and presense. The use of capturing the sun behind and the wide angle adding to this mood.
You coped well with the difficult contrasts in light.Well done and TFS.
Regards, David

Good choice of POV using the sun, Halgeir. The spreading shadows and the silhouettes make a strong composition, suitable for these monuments. Regards, Ken.

They do look massive and proud. Great composition. The sun is perfectly hidden.

Hi Halgeir.
Nice idea with the light and the use of the composition. But there's something wrong. You could use a shorter exposure and you would have more dramatic effect.
Regards.

Hi Halgeir,
This is a very interesting, creative shot. You've taken good advantage of the backlight here to create a nice silhouette. The effect is both interesting and original. Personally, I think it's amazing and I may borrow this technique sometime in the future.
The image quality here is vastly better than some of your previous postings so, hopefully, you've solved the problems you were having. Reading your note, it appears that you have.
The only thing to watch is your horizon line. It's ALMOST horizontal but a very minor rotation to the right would get it perfect and also improve the alignment of the artwork.
Keep up the good work my friend! :)
Hugs,
Tony

Nice composition with good use of backlight. Maybe being there half an hour sooner to stay a bit more to the right and get the three swords symmetrical...
