Well then, it has now been a little time since I last posted photos from the by now famous airshow at Sola airport.

I have been going through my archive for the last few days and this one hit me a little bit.
I set to the task and after 5 mins of work I was finally able to bring out the true colours of the planes.
The planes and the group here are Northrop F-5's of Patroiulle Suisse.
It was their first visit to Sola airport and their skills did not go by in silence. These guys were proparbly the main attraction of this airshow.

Well, that is what I have to say and give you this time so please enjoy!

Odd Jarle

the planes look more like boxes for bon-bons, not the supersonic fighter aircrafts that they are. after living 4 years in Switzerland I came to the conclusion that the Swiss can make even the most dangerous things look cute, like these planes or their famous Swiss Army knives :)
fantastic colours and composition, beautiful details. but it seems to me that there's an almost-invisible little speck of dirt just next to the lower right plain... sry to be nit-picking :)
best,
Kristine

Have enjoyed very much your whole presentation of the air show. Each one of them very professional. On this one I think that the frame is competing with the image for attention. The two red lines are very strong.

Cheers,
Enrique

Hi Odd
this is a very nice picture, great cropping and timing. Also the sharpness is nice.
Well done
Bertrand

Hei Oddi,

Great photo, the colors are great and the smoke lines really give the photo great movement. TFS.

Odd,
a perfect composition of the "patrouille suisse". IgorDeleze has a very interesting shot of this airplanes to with a breathtaking background of the Alps, but what he doesn't have is the complete overview of all planes nicely placed in the image. A combination of both shots, yours and his would be an award winning shot!
Regards, Peter

Well done, especially the composition, allowing for the trail to be visible. Good illumination too, the planes are not just black spots against the sky, ut are clearly visible. Next time, instead of the UV, I would go for a polariser.
