Ok, I'm back to the airshow photos again!

This photo was more a game of chance, the lens I was using was really too large for this shot so I just hoped for the best. I coulden't get the entire aircraft so a closeup of the cockpit isn't that bad of a choice?

What cought my eye was when the pilots suddenly started waving and this was the day before the airshow! Waving, just for us from the photoclub at work... I feel we are somewhat special... :D

This aircraft was long a big question to me, but it found out just recently that it was a BAe Hawk.
I'm not een going to start on explaning facts about his plane so please use the wiki link.

In order to present a mroe allealing photo I have saturated the colours slightly just to get a more powerful black tone on the aircraft body.
Other than that the photo is original, full size no cropping.
Enjoy...

Odd Jarle

Hello Odd Jarle,
You really like planes!:D You managed to get the tower in the background, which is a nice addition! In the note, you seem to be telling that you would have preferred having an overview shot. In my opinion, I think this tighter view is the best choice you could have made. Of course, someone like you who likes planes would like an overview to be able to appreciate fully, but aesthetically (how is it spelled??:D), very often, a tight crop is the way to go. Here, it allows to see the moment with the two men waving, the dark body which offer nice contrasts for the paintings(I don't know how to call that...)
Don't laugh at me...but, today, there was a lady from Red Bull who came here, in Quebec City, to evaluate if our city would be a good place for their crazy plane race(Red bull air race I think it is called...). I guess those planes are laughable when compared to those jets, but I can wait to see that event!!:D
Good evening!
Marc

Hi Odd Jarle,

Yeah I also like how you got the tower in the background out of focus. Really nice touch to it. Going through your photos and you do really like your planes. I also agree with Marc that the tight crop works really well here. Like the little details as the decalls on the side. Nice one!

Greetings, Dennis

Hello Jarle,
Nice photo -- it's not so often that you can capture the pilots WHILE taking off. Normally, you need to stay 4 meters from the plane or use a superzoom lenses :)
Great blured control tower at the background.
