Photographer’s Note
I continue my series from this spot, here a closer view of the fjord during sunset.
The weather in this period was dominated by a big high pressure over southern Scandinavia, producing cold air in the lower areas - an inversion.
The inversion is visualized by the mist over the fjord. Out in the distant fjord we can see fog - it was lying in exact the same position for several days.
Down there it was minus 7-9 degrees all the day. Above the mist it was pleasantly mild, slightly below zero.
In the workshop you can see a wider look at the area, included the village Sauda.

To fantastic to be true but it is indeed. Hard to distinguish reflection and reality.

Honestly I prefer, much prefer, the workshop version, OK, this one has special golden light hues, but the wide version appeals to me a lot more.

Hi Jon,
most beautiful view of the fjord. This mystic combination of haziness, water textures and warm sunset light blend together, sometimes almost inseparatable. They create most lovely and fairy-tale like capture.
Kind regards,
Jeri

A beautiful view of a great landscape with a lovely tranquil atmosphere. The fog over the calm water is wonderful and also the colours are great. I like the layered background with the mountains too. Thanks for sharing!

Hi John,
A dreamy ethereal view. Those lights, shadows, haze, hills, clouds, their reflections, all very nicely arranged, make a breath taking image.
Bravo!

Hei Jon,
A fine sunset mood has been captured, and the colours make me think of sepia conversion!
Well balanced composition, great feeling of depth...
Interesting to see the same view from different times of day!

Hello Jon,
This composition is so pristine. High pov making me feel like deaming up the open sky and looking down to this wonderful composition.
Excellent depth and perspective with nice hues of an almost monochromatic display.

The layers of mountains, the fog, the clouds and the lake blend so well that it looks dreamy. I've always found it surprising that sometimes the higher you climb, the warmer it gets. Anyway, this is a very nice shot. Congrats.

Hi Jon,
That is a tough choice between the lovely almost sepia color in the PP and the great FG detail in the WS with the light and shadows on the grass & snow. In bothe the layers of mountains and mist are like the dream of a fjord.

Hei Jon
Good work in this compo, The layered maountains in the back is well presented. Interesting effect by the natural mist and what's more man made in the closer section. The overall colour tune is quite attractive. A well disposed compo with good use of FG details.

Hi Jon,
I enjoy very much this almost monochromatic image. The view is a winner of course and you managed to render very well the wonderful plays of light on it...very dreamy diffused effect. Nice warm colors...I may have cropped that bit of fjord on the right that is a bit too dark in my view. I prefer the worskhop because the perspective becomes even more fantastic and we feel right there!

Hej igen Jon
If I wasn't living in Sweden, Norway would be the place, this one has a kind of a chines painting over it with all the haze around the mountains and the silhouette of the pine in FG .
