Afternoon by the riverside
Only some few minutes walk from my home I come to the shores of the river Glomma - the largest we have in our country. I like to sit here just to enjoy the silence of the nature, and look for some of the beavers who also like it down here by the shores of the big river...
(trying to forget that they 300m behind me (from this spot) build a new motorway bridge who will be a part of the new E18 between Oslo and Stockholm...)

Hello Jack ,
I like a lot this picture . it looks like a painting of a landscapes'lover . The square format is well chosen to include all the elements of the beautiful composition : the rock , the tree , the forest , the river , and the superb sky . The light and the reflection are wonderful , too .

Hi Jack,
A beautiful landscape, looks just like neighboring Värmland. I am glad we do not see the new E18 in this capture, but I´m sure that all travelers will enjoy the new motorway. There will probably be a motorway on the Norwegian side soon, but the Swedish side will take much longer... Whatever, a very fine picture!

That wonderful light coming in at a side slant, beautiful shadows and clarity, excellent depth, superb sharpness and those reflections are a breathtaking repeat of that marvelously cloudy sky. What a piece of heaven on earth that spot must be. My condolences "progress" will soon make its unlovely entrance.

Hi, Jack,

I like very much your composition, with the thin sweep of land framing the sky and the water.

There are many points of rich visual interest, foremost being the brightly illuminated stand of evergreen trees on the far right bank and the delicate silhouette on the left.

The color rendering, clarity and quality of light are all excellent.

Hi Jack,
Perfect place just to sit and watch river flow. Good almost square framing. Special sky. Right part looks brighter, was there difference in exposures or is it just light making magic?

Hi, Jack -

A gorgeous shot, and a perfect stitching job - I can't find any hint that it was a composite. The square format was an excellent choice, and the overall effect is of a landscape painting. Beautiful.

This is so tranquille and as the water is dark in parts, quite mysterious. The air looks so cool and fresh. Pity about the motorway but I guess tit had to happen some day.
