I've been trying for some intersting night shots this week Jack, but nothing as successful as this, very good use you make of the bike here.

The modern architecture and the snow and ice go so well together. The architecture here looks so cold and impersonal, very icy and impersonal. Especially at night. The bike is about he only thing with any sort of personality. Overall this is a fantastically shot photo.

Hi Jack;

An interesting shot. I like that you managed to capture the morning light of the sky, but also the lights of the buildings. The bike is silhouetted nicely against the snow on the ground. Nice clear shot with little noise.

You captured a very nice urban winter mood,Jack.A good compo,-the bike adds the necessary foreground interest.I like the contrast between the blue mood and the lighten windows here a lot.

An excellent night shot - well exposed with some interesting modern architecture, and the bike is perfectly placed as a focal point. I don't think the scene would be nearly so successful without the inclusion of it!

Another good result from your early morning stroll, Jack. Good inclusion of the abandoned bike in the foreground, and beautiful geometric component provided by the illuminated windows in the background, well balanced by the dark-blue sky.

The lighted windows were well captured. The tire tracks lead the eye nicely toward the street in that background. The bicycle is perfectly placed in the photo but its presence there in the winter is really quirky. I love it! I keep wondering whether its owner slipped on the ice before leaning it up against that sign.

Happy that you have nobody in the frame, this makes a special "tableau" of the bike in urban environement.

I rembember what it was like before it was built having lived in Oslo from 1984 to 1985 and visited the city just after it opened. Very pretty light. I like the bike and the different lights. Pity about that crane like thing in the middle. It breaks the harmony a bit.
