The layering of lighting and texture works well here. Your composition is fine using the vertical framing to give the photo a nice sense of depth. The lighting and colors are fine with nice sharpness and detail.

Magnifique photo ! J'aime beaucoup les trois niveaux crées par les "collines". La partie ombrée donne vraiment la force à l'image.

Hi Sam,
I'm intrigued as to why you made the middle layer so black. I like your idea regarding the presentation. For me, I would have thought a contrasting colour tone between the foreground hill and the background mountain might be better.
Very interesting approach you've gone for, makes me think about exploring alternatives as to how to present an image.
