Summer lake
Looking back to a fine summer day in July. By this little lake up in my mountain valley - perfect for some tranquile moods. No especially pp - mostly as is with the right weather..

Fun detail - this lake is so small and hidden it is only included in maps of size 1:50000 - just for the locals then ;-)

Hi Jack,
Nordic summer at it's best. Perfectly still lake reflecting half cloudy sky. Well arranged foreground. That boat looks like it doesn't hold water anymore.

Small but thanks to the low PoV, you altered its dimension. The light management is very well done, the reflections on the water are great and the boat in the foreground is the perfect choice. Thank you Jack, for sharing.

Splendid view of this lake!
I like very much the well saturated colours got here, and the contrast between blues and greens.
It's very well balanced the composition made with the old boat at foreground and the incredible clouds and its reflections.

I absolutely love this photo. Aside from the obvious parts about it which make it a pleasure to look at, I find the light pattern on the boat (?) in the foreground to really give the viewer a sense of "being there"...i can actually picture myself putting my foot upon the side of the boat to take in the beauty of the lake.

Hello Jack,

Un bon premier plan qui attire le regard sans être trop présent ! C'est bien vu ca on plonge ensuite dans ce superbe ciel que tu as bien capté ! la qualité de l'image est vraiment top et les couleurs sont sublimes. On a l'impression de voir une bande de terre entre deux ciels !
J'aime beaucoup cette image !

I love the deep saturated colors in this incredibly clear and sharp image. Did you use any filter or is this pretty much as recorded by your Olympus?

Hello Jack,

With this inspiring image you take us back to the glorious days of summer. If you had not added a comment about size of the pond, it would have been impossible to guess. Behind my house is a tiny pond, and it is a challenge to magnify it in photographs. The colors are spectacular, and so is the resolution. The presence of the old row boat in the foreground gives it both dimension and addition interest.

I understand why you love Tisleidalen so much and chose this region to etablish your cottage. The place are so quiet and the view goes so far ... Photo gives the impression to be on a island in the sky. Beautiful mirror effect and fantastic sky.
