Photographer’s Note

On the road to my cottage I pass this little river just 15 min before arriving.
That is normally there is no water here as there is a dam (and a small hydro power plant) higher in the river that usually is closed for any water to come down here (Tap=OFF). After some heavw rain last week I guess the bassin was full and it was time to let surplus water fill the old river (Tap=ON).
(..and there is no tilt, just a natural one...)

Comme la plus part des pays d'Europe, en ce moment les pluies torrentielles apportent leurs lots d'inondation ! Je vois que l'eau a envahie l'endroit dont tu nous parles ! Une très bonne photo de reportage qui nous montre que la nature est la plus forte !

Jack,
As always a nice shot of the Norwegian countryside. The lighting and colors are great with nice sharpness and DOF. I like your POV here creating a nice diagonal with the river bank.

Beautiful landscape captured with a good point of view that let us see the rock cliff in the foreground producing a great perspective with the rest of the river and the surroundings. Very good colors and composition. Well done. TFS.

Hi Jack, the surroundings of your cottage never seize to amaze me. Rough and beautiful mountainscapes! I love the colour contrast and the dynamics of the compo. A very good capture!

Hi Jack,
I wonder what kind of rain is harder than normal in Norway!
But that's good after weather clears up. This place is picturesque. Flow making diagonal across the screen works well.

Hi, Jack. A good view of the Norwegian wilderness. Good foreground with rock and trees to give depth and good diagonal line of the river. The higher trees in the background stand well out against the beautiful sky.

Superb compo, I like the wild, impressive nature scene, with the river, the stony bank, those fir-trees and the dramatic sky. Norway seems an extremely picturesque country.

Bonjour Jack,
j'admire la beauté pittoresque et sauvage de ce paysage.
Il a quelque chose de mystérieux.
Une rivière qui grossit donc au rythme des ouvertures des barrages, un coin dangereux comme certaines rivières de Belgique où le niveau monte très vite.
L'exposition est toute bonne, l'cume donne bien.
Le cadrage est très bien étudié aussi.

Jacck bonjour.
Cette rivière qui bouillonne est un spectacle que tu as bien su mettre en scène avec des obliques qui traversent la photo. Un bon point également pour les couleurs du rocher et ses lichens et de l'eau qui passe du blanc au bleu foncé.

Nice country, I like the river loss in the midle of forest. I hoppe to see a lot this summer in the north of your country. I will do the road from the Loffoten to the Northkap. Have you some good idea in this part of Norway?
