Photographer’s Note
Before the age of GPS
there was geometric points marked as here with the pole and the cross at top. This little summit situated close to my cottage.
I had yesterday another interesting meeting with a TE member Tan Yilmaz (capthaddock) (Meet him in the WS) on his way to Lofoten up north and later also visiting Romania, former Jugoslavia, Spain and France (2 months on the road) before going home to San Francisco
Another HDR attempt.

Hello, Jack!
Very funny title, I must say! I like these mountains, they look little like our polish Owl Mountains. Nice, interesting weather conditions and beautiful place!

Bonjour, mon ami Jack,
En effet, cette très amusante et belle réalisation représente l'ancêtre du GPS. Encore faut-il arriver à trouver ce poteau indicateur. De plus, le temps a effacé le nom des villes !
Qualité générale excellente.
Amitiés.

Hello Jack
Apart from a slight lack of sharpness, I very much like the depth in this image & subtle colour & diffused light. Good pov & tfs!

I love the makeshift subject.....I hope it's accurate! Great image though.

Hi Jack. At least with a pile of rocks and a pole you know exactly where you are. Nice image with fine and subtle colours. Great composition also. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.
PS Great WS also.

Hello Jack,
It's amusing the idea of this title.
Being given the state of the post, to find its way must be difficult :-)
Beautiful colors and great sky!
Best regards

Haha, thios looks familliar, this is a very useful technique indeed, just saw the wws, oh s#¤% you snuck a picture, that's not fair, I don't have one of you! Anyway it seems there is no way to charge a canon 20D battery in Trondheim, andf the charger is not even sold anywhere, now I have to be very careful when I turn on my camera!
PS I must have chosen the wrong smiley yesterday, sorry about that, meanwhile the wather is very very bad up north :-(

Hi Jack, This is interesting, especially with your note. Brings back memories of early surveying days in remote areas for me. Good earthy tones and sky has some magic. Murray.
