SORRY -DUE TO USE OF HARD DISK PLACE AT TE THE LARGE VERSION HAD TO BE DELETED.
To night we had close to -30C, and even with the weather looking the best, for us this is a bit too cold for outdoor activities.
Anyway as my INTRO refers to our cottage - to day I present a picture from this morning.
For Norwegians the cottage or "Hytta" is very popular and there is more than 300.000 "hytter" around the country. Our place includes in all 4 buildings with a main house, a guesthouse, a small equipment house and finally a small house for storing wood for the fireplaces.
We use a great part of our days off up here, but take a "time out" when it is as cold as now.
I will stay here for a large part of the coming summer - and should any TE member be around be sure to take contact for some nights up here and a talk by the camp fire.

This looks and sounds like a winter's paradise, Jack. The colors and light on this one are just wonderful, and I like your panoramic framing of the scenery here. This would have worked even more stunningly than it already does if you had been able to post a large panoramic version. Regarding the last paragraph of your note, I might want to reconsider my vacation plans ;-)

Agree with Norbert, in all the points, specially with the last one.
Shell I take that as an invitation? Don't ask me twice...

Perfect, sharp & clear wintershot! And a great framing too.
Well... Sometimes we were glad to go through kind of protected areas (?) where no "hytta" had been built! ;o)))
Even if it looks lovely in the snow, and you are a master in shooting "wintersceneries" we sometimes regretted not to be able to make a "clean" shot of the moutains as they were covered with the little houses.
But Norway is so huge, so wild, so beautiful... I can undestand the Norwegians want to live there in their free time.

Another view of a winter paradise! Very nice photo. And, very well-framed!
Do you also have a sauna? ;-)

Le jeu d'ombre et de lumière est très joli et malgré cette forte dominante de blanc il ni y'a aucune surexposition. La clarté de l'image est belle ainsi que les détails

Happy man whom you are! This decoration is magnificent, colours and composition were made a success. I opened the panoramic photo in its wide version and I do not grow tired of admiring this environment.
Heureux homme que vous êtes! Ce décor est magnifique, les couleurs et la composition réussies. J'ai ouvert la photo panoramique dans sa large version et je ne me lasse pas d'admirer cet environnement.

Beautiful landscape and very good pic. Perfect winter scene, I like it very much. You have made a good 'stitch' image. The only thing that I don't like it its the cold.

Very pleaseant image. I like a lot how the warm wood colors of the houses stand out from the cold (but beautifull) environment.
More is excelent how the main house of the photo is in the sunshine adding to that protection feeling!

I love this peaceful country setting for your getaway hytta Jack. Your panoranic view is very effective as it allows us to explore the many attractions around your winter place. Do you think we could rent that little guest house if ever our travels bring us to that "neck of the woods" :-D

Wonderful place to be, the colors are crisp, as crisp as the weather seems to be. The light and the shadow share the place with great result. The large version is very well done. In a word : excellent.
Thanks for the invitation for the talk by the camp fire.

Impressive panorama! This looks like a postcard or a Disney movie! Thanks for sharing!

I could live here. I could sense the warm from within the hytta, by the smoke coming out of the chimney. Even though the landscape is snow white cold with the hint of morning light. But a place like this, would keep me indoor. I have to disagree with your title;it ought to be "Time To Stay".
