Time for some follow up of our winter activities up in the mountains.

As I am the owner of a cottage up here you just have to use the ski tracks for som cross country skiing when the days are as here. Different tracks are connected and there is no limit for your skiing. For me 3-4 hrs. is my preference with a little stop for a light lunch. Temperature in February around -5, perfect for skiing. On this shot we close in at Gaukelia a little hill with several mouintain summer farms and some cottages.

First out of 3 postings from this fine day.

Beautiful landscape.. So you went back to cross country skiing. Here it would be very difficult... No snow at all.. and rather warm for the geographic location..
Nice image Jack..Nicely done with those cross country ski tracks leading us to the landscape.. I like it..

They must the giant skis, I havent seen deeper marks than them before, really good work, I liek the colours, very good

Nice shot. I like the ski tracks leading th eye into the distance.
The smow looks a little gray on my screen, maybe needs a touch more brightness.
I heard a good quote the other day..."if you are going to try cross country skiing its best to start with a small country first" :o)

Back on home ground. Nicely done winter landscape, especially the way the cross lighting picks out the tracks.

Very nice shot with a lot of depth. Colors are great. So, it's back to skiing. Here the snow is slowly melting and in the lower parts there is no snow at all. This being said, Spring is still beyond the horizon.

A fine compo with beautiful light and colors in it,Jack! The tracks in the snow leading the eye into the background.
Well done!

Ah, beautiful winter scene from the cross country tracks, Jack. Obviously the leading lines were put to the best use here, in order go guide the viewers eye towards the horizon of this lovely landscape view. Also a nice lighting to accentuate the undulating textures of the snowy surface and the tracks. Great blue sky to top it off.

nice shot...looks chilly!

Bonsoir Jack,
La route est tracée pour le ski de fond. Paysage tout de blanc vêtu.
J'aime les marques laissées par les skis, elles mènent notre regard vers l'horizon.
Un bien bel endroit pour profiter d'un repos bien mérité.
Philippe

The ski tracks are vanished to earky, so it looks like the skiers are hiding somewhre ;-)
But it is a very nice snowy shot with a perfect blue skies above all this whit. Well done, Jack.

I would like to have sun too... Anyway, a very good composition with those ski tracks and the cottages we can see in the BG. The colors are also very well exposed. Bravo!

Hi Jack

Excellent linear perspective & vanishing point. I like the contrast between the desolate foreground a wooded background. Wonderful sharpness & lighting. Well done!

Dear Jack,
Great winter pic, the tracks in the snow leading the eye into the background, this give excellent depth, all the small houses on the hills between the snow its small points but give nice variation in colour, fine image.
Thanks Jack,
John.
