Photographer’s Note

Well 1802 local time.

Been on the road for 3 hrs. Only 30 minutes to the mountain cottage. Stopping at the excact time, shooting the closest farm along the road.

Transmitting data: From mobile phone Nokia, 28 kb, PC: Toshiba pro 4600. Power: 12 V DC.

Weather: Outside now - 10 C. Inside in the cottage - 2 C (But all fireplaces and ovens in full swing)

Have a fine evening out there...

Beautiful scene from the Norwegian winter, well framed with the red buildings in the snowy landscape. Good inclusion of the fences as a foreground interest. Nice entry to the "17:02" theme, Jack.

Nice colours and composition. Just a week ago we had the same amount of snow and night time temperatures. Today it got up to 20°C.

Very beautiful winter scene from Aurdal. Nice contrast between buildings walls and the snowy fields. Very good composition. I see that you had a very " warm" temperature inside cottage. Congratulations.

Nice colored buildings against the almost B&W background with the addition of the fences in the foreground that adds to the shot...
We weren't so lucky to have such lighting since here it was noon fime 12:02... a splendid sunny day with -5°, but still I took my pic to join the TE gang.

There is no more snow here and the temperature is about 15°C now during the day...

Ha! Like Nina's photo, yours also has an abundance of red in it. What could the two of you have been thinking at that moment. ;-) The scene you captured is very lovely and placid. The fences create an interesting triangular shape that lead the eye straight to the door of the barn's loft.

I`ll not comment the quality of the photo.
But I thank to you (all) for letting me beeing on 43 different places in the same moment, letting me see with your eyes, having somehow the same thoughts, letting me feel yoir spirit in the moment as I put my finger on the shutter.

Special thanks for Aleksei(kolesn) for his idea.

But although I have all that good feelings, after the enthusiasm of the moment has gone, there's something taht makes me think about.
There are actualy 13099 members on TE.

Lovely image Jack, well composed, leading the eye along the fences to the houses. nice colour tones, and the background is enough out of focus not to distract from the subjects. Your note about -10C makes me feel a shiver - time for another hot whiskey!!
