Autumn in Bergen Photo

Photographer’s Note

Taken in the curving road, free for any cars, called Fløysvingene, right above the Funicular-stop at Skansemyren. The road/path takes us to mount Fløyen, one of the seven mountains surronding Bergen. Fløysvingene was built between 1889 and 1891. The weather-conditions in Bergen today was just a little bit cloudy, with the sun coming through just passable. Temperature was about 11 degrees C.

L'automne est plus rapide en Norvège que par chez nous en France. Belles couleurs dont on devine l'odeur des feuilles mortes. Il ne reste plus qu'à trouver des champignons.

Hello Erling,

I can see you had a great autumn in Bergen, opposed to here where the leaves blew off the trees while they were still green..!
Several good elements here, most noticeable is the winding road with the wooden fence...
The contrasty tree trunks stand well on the golden foliage, and the mood is well conveyed!

A proof that a good photographer doesn't need sun at all! ;-)
A wonderful atumnal atmosphere is in this photo and this view downward along this fence creates a very good depth into the picture. I visited Bergen in 1999 - one of the most beautiful cities I've seen. Especilly its surroundings are great - as shown here!
