In Bergen there is lots of variation in colour. The old timber residential areas behind Bryggen are almost totally white but the old commercial areas of Bryggen and nearby have lots of rich colour.
When I took this photo there was the added bonus of a partially blocked sun to add interest.

I was two times in Bergen, but a did never see the sun there. But even in the rain it is a fascinating town. But looking at your lovely picture I hope to visit Bergen once with sunshine.

This reminds me my own visit to Bergen last year. (No uploads yet, but I really should.)
It is simply great looking corner with colourful buildings and fresh forested background. Half cloudy light is excellent making good play of sun and shadow.

Nice capture, good POV. Very sharp with good colours.
Interesting different pieces of architecture. Also the advertising in English.

Hi Ian, beautiful corner in Bergen. Very nice colourful houses. and what a great weather you have there now. It doesn't happen often there. You are lucky :). Bryggen totally white?? I remember it very colourful. Maybe you think about the area on the hill here.
What is next in your schedule?
