This picture was taken on a rainy, rainy day in March 2012 (pretty much exactly 2 years ago) when Prince Charles was visiting Bergen. I got a few pictures of him and he even waved to me exlusively at one point! But he was visiting several of the ships at the harbour and it required a bit of patience to wait, so what's better than to spend some time with my camera? I actually used all the time trying to get a good panning shot of this little boat.
This boat is called Beffen, named after the company who used to run it. It crosses the bay in the heart of Bergen and is a beloved little boat among the locals here. There has also been another one going from the inner to the outer parts of the bay. Good memories.

Wow, that's some extreme panning! The shape of this little ferry is so unsuitable to the illusion of speed it seems to go, thanks to your long exposure.
Also there is good contrast between grey weather and bright colours of the boat.

Hi again Fredrik
This is one of the best panned shots I have ever seen! The splash of red and green looks fabulous on the grey tones of the rainy day.
