Winter morning at Bryggen, a photo from Hordaland, South

Photographer's Note

This picture was taken january 2012. It shows the inner parts of Bryggen, Bergen. So far january 2013 has been quite cold, and we`ve had just a thin layer of snow. Today in Bergen it`s a lot of wind and rain. It`s nice then to have a look back to 2012, just to get a reminder of how this first month of the year also can be. In the left part we can see the Rosenkrantz tower with its origin from the 13th century.

Hello Erling,
The water was very calm that morning so that it reflected the beautiful buildings and the boats really nicely.
The picture is very colourful with lots of warm tones contrasting to the blue cold colour.

osservando questa ed altre foto della tua gallery, mi pento sempre più di non avere visitato la tua città nel mio viaggio in Norvegia di tanti anni fa.
Mi rendo sempre più copnto che la tua è una città meravigliosa e tu la sai rendere in maniera perfetta nei suoi colori e nei riflessi delle sue acqua sia cittadine che dei fiorni che la circondano.
Spero che ci sia occasione di tornare nei paesi scandinavi. questa volta non salterò la tua città per dirigermi verso la Lapponia.

Very attractive view of this well-know harbour under a beautiful warm light. I like the angle of view and perspective resulting in a good sense of depth. The picturesque architecture of the houses makes a striking reflection in the calm waters of the harbour, giving a tranquil atmosphere to the scene. A very beautiful shot.

I've been waiting for some winter scenes from you, this one was taken a year ago so it'll have to do for now :)
this area here reminds me so much of Copenhagen and its own water views.

I like the reflection of the houses in water, this image do me think to Ghent or Bruges with the boats and nice houses in background.

Smooth water surface gave a beautiful mirror effect of the waterfront houses and boats anchored along.
