Side Street, a photo from Hordaland, South

Photographer's Note

This ia a side street in Bryggen Bergen. Bryggen means waterfront. Bergen is on the west coast of Norway. It is the wettest place in Norway. We were there fo 3 days and it was raining all those days. occasionally, we used to have a few good minutes. I took advantage of that time and ventured out to see this beautiful city.

Hello Lakshmi,

I always like diagonal lines and this is a nice one with the two colors of the building making a good contrast. Good details of the arches. The pedestrian is a bit annoying as he is in the forefront and at the left. At best, he should appear at the right in this case. Just a thought, as I know street shooting is never easy.

Hello Lakshmi,
good example of beautiful Norwegian architecture.Very good composition with superb colors.Concerning the people in the foreground,there are always different viewpoints on this matter,some of us find it annoying,others do not mind it.I personally do not mind.

Bonjour Lakshmi,
festival de belles couleurs vives sous ciel malheureusement blanc. Les passants n'ont pas l'air emballés de s'y prmoner et pourtant, je sens du charme dans cet endroit. Je ne suis pas très d'accord avec ton cadrage, le personnage de gauche aurait dû etre absent ou alors pas coupé.

I'm sorry, but I don't know what people see in this image that I don't. I am very glad that you liked my city. We are all very proud of it. I see that you got rain all the days (not a surprise...), but I can really imagine that you got better images than this.

Yes, you weren't too lucky with the weather, but I would suggest to just avoid it (Maybe). Yes, you have diagonal lines. That makes an OK composition, but what about the people? Do they fit in? I can see some write that they add life and such. In my opinion they make the picture look more like a snapshot. It would look better without them. But at least don't cut the persons like here.

Still, you've captured a nice building. The Hanseatic Museum is worth an image. Thank you also for bringing this out and as TE's logo says "Learning about the world...". You've done that. However, I feel that you missed this time...sorry.
