With our sledges, each with 6 huskies, we cross the hills and forests around Drevsjö.

Drevsjö lies at 650 meters over sea level and the lakes and forests are home of many beavers.

A little story about huskies:
I was the first time on such a tour and our guide explained us how to handle the sledge, what to do in case of a overturn and many other things. Everything was fine during the first hour when driving over a frozen lake and the flat landscape. We enjoy the trip and the sun while standing on a plank at the end of the sledge. Easy job I thought. The first hill ... and after some hundred meter the sledge stopped. The huskies lied down and relax ... and stopped any work. The tour guide with his sledge was not longer seen between the trees - I see only snow and an empty landscape. I ask Fiffy, the leader of the Husky gang, what's going on. I ask the others, Marja, Freia, Rustek, Mario, Freddy - no reaction, they continue relaxing in the snow.

After a while the tour guide came back and was laughing. An easy rule: If you do nothing they also do nothing. You had to assist with the foot pushing the sledge when going up the hill.
