Going west for some days I also passed some nice small lakes along the road.

(Under the WS is a version without the blue field)

P.S. This place could be in my region, Norway seems to have a similar nature to Quebec.

Beautiful morning fog with a touch of fresh air and strong sense of nature, Jack! The light coming from left makes it look as if a fairy-tale scene, taken somewhere in deep deep woods where only trolls and fairies live...Great autumn colours and excellent capture!

Lovely little landscape with two groups of trees balancing each other. Nice autumn color and a fine soft morning light. I boosted it a bit in a WS.

Great catch of the fog, Jack - the kind of mood I also hope to be able to catch some time this fall (without lake, though). Great mood and I like the effect of the reflections sort of breaking through the layer of fog. The WS is nice too but actually I prefer the version you've posted, for the non-intrusive and interesting asymmetry added by the piece of reflected sky.

It is interesting how a slight crop can change the whole image, but I like both version Jack, with and without the blue. Excellent shot.

A lovely tranquil shot, Jack. I like the way you captured the mist on the water. There also seems to be a little touch of sunlight on the left of the trees. Well seen and framed.

If I didn't know any better, I could almost swear this was Canada. Nice lake shot, complimented by the colors of autumn, and fog coming off the lake.

Marvellous morning light which emphasizes the fir trees on the island and the layer of fog. I prefer this version with the blue reflection. It's more light.

One have to wake up early, I guess, to catch morning mist. I'm too lazy for this :)
Your photo generates slightly sad mood, Jack. But it's a light sadness.
Without sky reflections this shot seems to be more effective IMHO.

I am missing a lot of your stupend pictures, Jack and this is not good. A peacefull picture with a soft misty. A dreaming landscape: the nature in its best season (for me). The swan song before the long winter.

Bonjour jack,
une ancienne photo certes, mais qu'elle est ramarquable. Cette brume légère dans laquelle brille ce soleil qui éclaire aussi de sa lumière chaude, arbres et herbes.
Bien équilibré, cadré, réalisé.
Un respect profond de ce qu'offre la nature.

crawling fog over the quite, stand still water. Beautiful capture when nature at its best. Fantastic picture Jack.

pure magic!
everything works perfectly in this shot, the low angle of the sun, the fog that softens the lines and shapes of the trees, the fall colors of the birchtrees (?) and the reflection in the water.
