Photographer’s Note
In the city of Grimstad, Southern Norway, I found this statue. It’s portrait of the famous Norwegian writer Henrik Ibsen (1828 - 1906).
In 1844, 16 years old, Ibsen arrives at Grimstad to start as an apprentice at the pharmacy.
6 years later, in 1850, Ibsen moves to Kristiania (now Oslo).
You can read a lot more on this dedicated Henrik Ibsen homepage: www.ibsen.net. The pages are also available in English.
