Photographer’s Note
The lonely and isolated island, only way to get out there is by boat.
I took this summer some photos at a place called Evje, this is one of them.
I had been working all winter, all spring and now I really needed a holiday or simply just to get away from everything that had something to with work.
I ended up doing a 4 day drive around a big part of south western Norway, this was one of my stops.
It is a camping place just outside Evje and locally it is known as Hornnes.
After the long day of driving I decided I needed a little walk by the lake.
This place has a really nice beach and the scenery is just spectacular.
As I was sdoing some shots I happened to get this piece of scenery.
It is a small island that is located just some 150-200 meters from the beach, it's completely isolated and is close to untouched by humans.
Had it not been for the backgropund this easily could be a haunted island.... but it's not.
I took the shot in a quite beautiful evening, maybe a bit hard light this day so I had to increase the levels of the background sky to bring out the colour.
Please let me hear some views and opinions on this photo.

You get there by boat, now tell me, how do you get to the boat? Looks too frigid to swim, haha.
Seriously though, this is a great mood shot. We have similar scenes on the West Coast (Vancouver).

Hello Odd,
A simple but very effective composition full of serenity. The empty boat adds to the feeling of peacefulness and in some way balances the island in the background.

Hei Oddi,
Nice scene. I like the way you placed the boat, it looks inviting to hop on board and go to the island. Nicely captured. TFS.

Hei Odd,
I had a Déjà Vu on this one... Except that my lonely island is not too isolated... It's called Big Island and is in Sambro Harbour. The latter being a misnomer, it is more of a bay or a cove.
I have not posted any daytime Big Island shots , here is as close as I can get for now... Close-up Big Island looks like yours. Same firs , same rocks.

God dag Odd :-)
What a lovely scene. I really like the photo. The boat on the left side gives an additional eyecatcher to the photo. The colors are very intensive and clear. Great job.
