Colour festival Photo

Photographer’s Note

The fall with long shadows and changing weather is often a good time for making a little special photos - colourwise.

This motive is from a little lake right opposite of the grand building where our constitution was made back in 1814.

The photo taken just before the sun is hidden behind the darker clouds.

Very pretty scene, Jack - the daylight you got does its best playing with the colorful cottages and bringing a beautiful clear reflection on the water surface. Also a fabulous sky to top this view. Happy New Year to you.

A pittoresk colorful view wit a good reflection in the water and a deep colored cloudy sky.

The festival is in with colors of course and details.
Basicaly this two in one (reflections) is excelent and the result is a great pleasure to look at it.

L'éclairage sur les maisons est bien contrasté par rapport au background sombre.
J'apprécie beaucoup ce mélange de couleurs parfaitement saturées.

Good evening Jack, Lighting on the houses is well contrasted compared to the dark background. I appreciate much this mixture of perfectly saturated colors.

Il existe des moments privilégiés où l'oeil avisé du photographe se doit de saisir une telle scène.

A very sharp and detailed picture. One could make a 1000-piece jigsaw of it and then spend hours wondering how to assemble the clouds :)

Very nice timing! You caught the contrast of the sunny areas against the darker stormy sky very well and it created a special atmosphere. This place is a real postcard! Very neat and colorful with a great nature scenery involving it. Just miss a bit of sharpness.

Looks like Europe is the country of beautiful water reflections. How do you guys do it. Its excellent. Very well done and framed. You had good timing with the photograph as the sun hiding behind the clouds would have not made it so bright.

Couleurs très vives mais qui ne dérangent pas du tout. Le reflets est aussi joli que la réalité. Beaucoup de clarté mais un peu de surexposition pour les façades claires.

Voici une très jolie composition, avec de remarquables couleurs et un effet de réflexion superbe. J'aime particulièrement l'aspect du ciel sombre qui contraste bien avec les couleurs des arbres et des maisons. Bien vu!

This is different. You are good at taking unique composition with reflection. Generally you see reflection of trees, forest and mountain but here, a village. And it sure is just as wonderful. The colors of the buildings just stand out amiably with its natural surrounding Jack.

Hi Jack,

What a lovely photo, the colours splash from the screen. I came to this photo via a click from the frontpage..I thought I recognized Norway in it and it seems to be true.
This is indeed what I would call a colour festival! The reflection on the calm water is great. I like all the different bushes and trees, many different nature's green and some autumn tones on them. Contrast and sharpness are top.
Well framed and composed. Absolute topshot if you ask me.
