Photographer’s Note
I was just looking at this scene, wondering how I could make a photo out of it. After some time this runner came along and just disapeared in the fog. Sadly there was a car passing as well, so I missed the first shot. Then I imagined this version and waited. A small man and the nature...

Very good photo Terje,
I think only lets say three colours, a nice view ending in white. I like the details. Very good photo, I like it

Hi Terje, i recognize myself in this photo... run is my favorite sport, even in a cold and foggy day!
I like the low contrast for this situation, is the right atmosphere, and the tree to the right make this B&W photo almost a graphism.
Very well done!

A prefect B&W for me.
The character makes all the difference between a good and a great landscape picture.

Hi Terje, a very milky photo, nice is that you can't draw an exact line betweel soil and sky

The atmosphere you create is amazing! I like the comoposition and sharpness but specially the way that the man is almost disappearing from the shot. Well done.

Beautiful in its minimalism. The trees in the background seem to be the reflection of the ones in the foreground. This vehicles such a sense of emptiness that it is almost a nonsense to comment on the elements, the subject or the composition. It is the kind of photograph that lives through its pure aesthetics rather than the story it tells. Curiously, this looks so cold, and I feel so warm when looking at it. I like this kind of paradox between what IS and what we SEE.

Great shot, the whiteness of a foggy winter morning and only these two trees and the man. So peaceful to look at.

It must have been freezing to wait in such conditions just for the perfect shot, but I guess thats the craziness we endure without second thoughts. ;-)
I love the solitary human framed in between those trees. It brings in a sense of warmth despite the coldness of the scene. Great work!
Cheers,
Mayumi

well done Terje, the contrast between the first trees and the rest of the image is striking, and beautiful IMO!
Was he running or cross country skying?

I don't like weather too cold - though, I'd love to be able to enter the scene (like Alice) and have a 10-minute walk down this road).
Maybe beacause I'm a mist crazy?

Wow, this is really good Terje. Great exposure, I think everything is perfectly exposed, and these aren't easy conditions I think, so much white. I guess if I had one suggestion, it would be nice to have the runner just a little more off center. This one is very impressive.

Another great shot. I like this fog, hard lights which alows us to perceive this outline in the mist. Very beautiful !

Terje, det er et fin fotografi; tatt til min favorittenes.
Kjempefin stemning i tåkedisen og snø. Utvalg om b&w er passende for denne konstrast mellom trær og hvid landskap.
Takk for dig for ha del i noe!
Hilsen, Hauke

And your patience paid off Terje, the skier makes this shot.
Perfectly executed and delivered, I bet there wasn't much colour in the original and here having just black and white, and a bit of grey gives it an abstract quality.
Isn't for wonderfull?
Peter
