Swim??? No! It's cold, hundreds of kilometers north of the Arctic Circle, I was told by locals that it can get comfortable enough for swimming in late August in the shallow parts.

The view of the beach from above to be posted in workshop.

Nice job once again, the technical quality is flawless and the landscape quite appealing. The two diagonals that part the image in three areas work well for the composition, and the picture conveys the impression of a crisp, clear and pristine landscape. I like the clouds that seem to follow lines radiating from the center.

Amicalement
JJ

Hi Tan.. very nice landscape with great composition and colors! Beautiful nature and great sky!

TFS and regards,
Phil

I like your high vantage point here to capture the full curvature of the sea, the serenity of this untouched beach stimulates a quieting feeling of relaxation. Cold but beautiful one.

Thanks for sharing
Albert

Hi Tan,
Friend of mine took a swim in Honningsvag, but he did not told me for how long ;-)
Forget the snow here and it looks like an idylic beach somewhere in Portugal. But with the snow it gives something magic, something that can't be true, crystal clear ocean, golden white beach and with snow peak mountains, amazing. The ws shows even more but i prefer this one. a beautiful surrounding, some day i have to visit the Lofoten..thanks..!!!
Regards, Henk

Hi Tan,
Well, I never imagined Norway like this ! This beach with its transparent waters reminds us Caribbean seas, but the snow on the mountains in the background brings us back to reality : we are in a cold place ! Anyway, it's really a great shot ! Great colours, excellent composition, wonderful light, good sharpness, I just love it ! Thanks for posting.
Regards,
Olivier

hi Tan,

Hello Tan,

Brr, I even can't swim in the Nordsea and even the Meditterean is quite cold to me (in may). I prefer the Carribean.
It looks great though. Fantastic sky and the colour of the water is inviting. The rocks on the forground with the rusty colours seem to conatin quite some metal.
Regards, Gerrit

a nice view, a nice sky, your framing is well balanced, at the perfection,
now, how much cold ?
regards
jo

Great use of the very wide angle. The sky is so spectacular that way. I love the colors well, the orange of the lichens on the rocks.

Hi TAn,
Considering the water color it's very inviting to dive into it and have a swim, but seeing the snow so close brrrr rather not, nice seaside view with wide angle and gresh feeling, I like the warm foreground touch from the rocks.
Have a nice sunday JY

Hi Tan

beautiful wide angle shot, lovely composition.

Regards
Derek

Hey Tan,
When I saw the thumbnail of this picture I thought that it was a beach somewhere in Australia maybe. When I read that it was actually taken in Norway I almost couldn't believe it. The sea with its turquoise color looks very inviting for a swim ... but I guess it would be a little bit cold. Excellent composition with great colors and great light. Congratulations!!!
Greetings,
Natasha

Hi Tan.
Great landscape shot, superbly composed. Maybe a little over-saturated for me, but still an excellent shot technically. Like one of the other commenters, I find it hard to believe this is in Norway! The depth of field is great, and the curve of the beach between the foreground rocks an distant snow capped mountains is very pleasing. So, a kind of sunny tropical beach and some snowy mountains, amazing.
Regards,
Andrew

Hi Tan

If it weren't for the snowcapped peaks in the distance, this could easily pass for a tropical beachscape in Thailand! Good sharpness & colour. Tfs!

Tan,
the typical overview from some top position. The clarity of the landscape with the low light is simple fabulous and provides a crispness all throughtout the photograph. I particularly like the clouds that seems to converge in the infinite to a single point.
Are you ready for Point Reyes?
Peter

Hi Tan,
Wonderful scene with beautiful colors, deepness, light, balance, curl and composition. Really, very nice panorama, nature and place. Congrats,
Emir Nedim

salut tan
je ne sens pas le froid moi, bizarre, en tout cas une eau, même si elle doit être froide, qui invite a la baignade, et un ciel qui donne la beauté au paysage

Hi Tan,
also the workshop deserves a smiley..
the perspective is ecellent, I´m not sure about the colours, maybe they need a little more contrast.
Cheers Chris

merhaba
çok güzel bir açı ve harika bir görüntü.özellikle ışık renk ve detaylar çok güzel.arkadaki tepeler karlı olmasa sanki ege'den bir yer gibi algılanabilinir.

Hello Tan,
This is a very attractive composition with fine sharpness throughout the frame!
A fine sense of depth and good leading lines, rich colours and a wonderful sky...

Hello Tan!
Its a very nice corner, showing nice crystal clear waters and its beautiful blue tones against the mountain with its white top! Well taken!

karayib kumsalıyla yeni zelanda dağları kombinasyonu sanki... yine "gir bana" diyen bir su, yine nefis bir kare... (gerçi o denize girmek sıkar biraz herhalde ama neyse...)

Hi Tan,
Very nice composition. Nice variations of the blue color :)

Hi Tan!
If those snow capped mountains weren't there I'd say this was taken in a tropical beach!
Very interesting... the color of the water is fantastic!
The whole landscape as well!
TFS - Congratulations!

A wonderful Norwegian view, Tan. The cool light is great and the expansive view across the bay, with the beautiful texture of the rocks and the mountains beyond. You caught a really majestic sky too, to cap it all off. regards Kevin

Hi Tan
I wouldn't swim here but I remember it being warm enough to sunbake on the boat going through these islands. The water is beautifully transparent and there's lots of depth thanks to the rocky foreground and the way the clouds seem to converge on the mountains in the background.
Regards
Nikki

Hello Tan,
My love of Norway will never fade, especially when I see such a beautiful shot of the paradise islands of the north: The Lofoten.
Great POV, fantastic sky as you know to make them so well
Well done
Estelle

WOW!
I have never bben in Norway. Do they have such a nice beaches? Like the caribiens? Oh jeh its not for swimm for sure. The snowcovered mountain make more special this capture!
Regards,
Erika

What a treacherous beach - it looks so inviting, but then you see the snow covered peaks in the background. The foreground is good for the eyes and the sky is simply amazing. Great shot of an incredible place!

Olá Tan

Que foto mais linda...cores divinas, especialmente da água. Um lugar de sonhos. O céu é um espetáculo à parte. Bonito primeiro plano, boa textura.
Parabéns!
