Photographer’s Note

View at Sakrisøy Rorbuer. Almost the end of Lofoten islands. Rorbuer are old fishermen' houses converted and adapted for turists' needs. Though they look fabulous I even didn't dare to ask about the price for one night and used a tent instead :)
In the background you can see several peaks. The first one on the left-hand side is called Reinebringen (448 m) easily accessible from the main road after an one-hour ascent. More adventurous hikers my continue along the ridge to get to the higher parts of the mountains.

Stunning photo of a stunningly beautiful place, Michal. Your framing is perfect and the illuminating light on the buildings in the foreground really enhances the contrasting effect created by the modest, small settlement set against with the imposing mountains in the background. Fantastic color clarity and sharpness. Well done.

Hello Michael.
I think I have seen a photo of this place before, but yours is a lovely luminous shot taken during a superb sunny day. The colours in the water, the sunshine on the fishermen's houses, and the detail and shadows in the folds of the mountains, make this a great picture. Perhaps it's a pity there isn't a boat or two in the expanse of water on the left. Still, it's a high quality shot with great colour and sharpness.
