Photographer’s Note

Lofoten is an archipelago and a traditional district in the county of Nordland, Norway. Though lying within the Arctic Circle, the archipelago experiences one of the world's largest elevated temperature anomalies relative to its high latitude. Anytime I was there in June, July or August I experienced the tempereatures of around 20-25 degrees.
The shot was taken from the ferry going from Bodo, after 4 hours of water and small islands we saw the LAND....
If you have ever thought of exploring Norway, don't miss LOFOTEN, I highly recommend it :-))

Hello Gosia,

I like the backlight effect, creating this shimmering water surface!
And I notice at least a couple of boats here that are not quite up to date hehehe...
A lovely composition showing the beauty of Lofoten in summer!

A very attractive backlit composition with lovely cool tones. I like the way the light catches the tops of the ripples in the water.

I went to Norway in 2002 but I not visited Lofoten.
I like this blue tone and the bright sea. It's summer!

Witaj, Byłam w zeszły roku w norwegii, ale nie dotarłam do Lofotów :((, szkoda, ale wszystkiego nie da rady zobaczyc. Fajne kolory na tym djeciu, woda świetnie wyglada.

Bardzo ladny zarys gor na horyzoncie. Rzeczywiscie chetnie bym to zobaczyl ale dopiero po tym jak zobacze wszystkie cieple kraje :)

Ale fajna pocztowka! Kolorki sa niesamowite, z tylu gory, z przodu woda...marzenie! Strasznie nas tam ciagnie w te strony, ale jakos na razie nie bylo okazji...
