Photographer's Note

I am not a real beach bummer, but when I arrived at Haukland Beach, I found my muse and was sold to this wonderful location. I made several photo at daytime. I thought to bathe, but when I put a foot into the water my bones ached.

The moments spent on this beach were magical, the sky was amazing and the silence was perfect.

Beautiful picture of a even more beautiful costal scene. Great foreground to lead the eye in to the picture, good clarity, superb colors and light and an interesting sky, all add up to a very alluring picture

Hello Monika,

It's a beautiful place and a very pleasant photo. Sharp, good light everywhere, and well composed (good with that bar of rock entering the photo and leading the eye towards the hill, and sort of converging with the clouds). Beautiful sky, translucent water.

A great POV ! The wide angle and the alage in the foreground add nice depth. Nice transparent water and beautiful colours. You had a very beautiful cloudy sky too. Excellent sharpness.

Beautiful shot Monika - The water may have been too cold to bathe but you spent your time on more positive pursuits! Lovely composition, the line of seaweed-covered rock makes such a dramatic and perfect diagonal drawing the viewer to the jagged cliffs opposite and I like the way the clouds above mirror the line. Detail in the FG is really good with the colours very well managed and that water - beautifully clear. A fine piece of work! Have a lovely weekend Rosemary

Wow! Such an unusual beach with a view! (as i'm used to the beaches here in our tropical islands) Loved the serenity in here, the mountains and the sky blue color of the water. I bet the silence and the moment was simply perfect! Such a great day to do a photoshoot of the place! Come on, show us more of this wonderful landscape, can;t wait to see the other photos! TFS!

Hello Monika and Pawe,

Beautiful surrounding and a excellent point of view.
The diagonal lines of the forground creates a nice
depth and the open water makes the picture extra
calmness and wide. Light management is also great.
