This photo of Mo i Ranas icon "Havmannen" (the man from the sea) was shot a warm October evening in Mo i Rana 2004 using my Canon Ixus 400. The Ixus is not the best for night shots, but it can bring out really warm colors - luckily on this one where a seagull was resting on his head...
"Havmannen" is Mo i Ranas own mermaid, a part of a larger project called 'Skulpturlandskap Nordland', made by Antony Gormley and given to usMay 6th 1995.

Flott bilde, Lars.
Flott gjort!

Well composed photo. Reminds me why we love to live in this part of the world. Well done Lars!

Welcome to TE, Lars!
Good composition, also it lacks some dynamics... I'd call this one "An Idol".

Welcome to TE Lars. Very good result from the litle Ixus, I often use mine fo convenience, rather than lugging around a big thing, and I can still be surprised by how good they can be in tricky light.

Breathtaking scene and a very nice, calming photo! I also like the frame, even though normally I think it's useless...
Nice colour combination - black with golden/orange.
