The white beaches of Lofoten Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is in the best season of the summer. The weather is nice, the temperature around +25 C.

..But as this is north of the polar circle the water temp is only some 12-14 C. So as you can see the beatiful beach is not directly crowded.

If you forget the beachlife you still will have great joy of the fine landscape in this very beatiful islands.

What a beautiful beach! The colours are wonderful here and composition excellent. The people add warmth and life to the shot and I love those clouds and the lovely curve of the shoreline. Great shot Jack.

This looks like my kind of beach, Jack, one with a mountain range behind ;-) Well composed with the fine curve of the shoreline where the blue water meets the white sand. I like the colorful houses in front of the cloud-topped mountain range, too. Beautiful place, thanks for showing it!

The sky is marvelous, the compo with the use of wide angle captures a lot of things. The colors are very good. It is a nice picture: have a relaxing effect as much as the people featured in this shot.

You are so lucky to get those dramatic clouds in your shots! The clouds seemed to "attack" the mountain and completely envelop it. Nice composition, too. Talking about white beaches, it's really white. Just wondering what makes it so white?
