Photographer’s Note

In Rørvik the northbound and southbound ships of Hurtigruten meet in the evening. Rørvik is a coastal town situated on Innervikna, one of the islands of the Vikna archipelago, 200km to the north of Trondheim. From here you can reach the E6 by car whithout ferrycrossings. Here you see the Nordkapp, southbound, and the Kong Harald, southbound.

Very good pov, it adds a greater sense of depth and emphasizing a lot of scale. The light is warm and pleasing. congrats

Hi John,
Lovely perspective you've captured these monsters from! The sheer size of these ships always amazes me. The lighting is nice coming in low from one side and there's plenty of definition in all areas of the shot

It is good you have captured people in the image for scale so we can appreciate the huge size of the ferry. You found a good POV to use perspective to fit it into the frame.

Navire imposant (la présence du personnage au premier plan indique bien l'échelle du bateau) qui se prête à la découverte et au voyage.
Une vraie ville flottante.

Hallo John!
Das lässt Erinnerungen wach werden. "Mein" Schiff war damals die Kong Harald. Vielleicht liegt sie ja hinter der Nordkapp. Du hast hier ein wunderschönes Licht eingefangen. Ach jaaaa - ich könnte gerade buchen ...
