Photographer’s Note
Lake rostu, or Rostujávri in Sami-language, is a lake on the border between Norway and Sweden. It's a rare lake in that way that it has two outlets, one on the west (norwegian) side and one on the east (swedish) side. So basicly the water of the lake runs in two directions.
This is not that lake but it's in that area. As it is a "secret" fishing place I go to I will not reveal it's precise location ;-)
Tech:
This image is composed by 6 different photos and had to be heavily croped and decompressed in order to be uploaded
Clone to remove seems.
Some manipulation of RGB curves.
I don't think the postproduction is brilliant but I think the view make up for that.

PS
If anyone has any tips and tricks reguarding picture-taking like this (multiple photos to be stiched together) I would much appreciate any advice. For example is a tripod recommended?

Here is my tip for stitching frames together:
Make a _lot_ of overlap between individual frames when doing the shot as usually only the middle third of the image is without distortion and darkening. A tripod is nice too to avoid rotation of the camera from frame to frame.

you can get in the world of the panorama makers.
look for panotools on the web
and
www.panoguide.com
There are some free tools.
Personnaly I would suggest : if you don't have a tripod, get one. If you go on a walk for pictures, take your tripod with you and leave your camera on it. My suggestion : get a light one (for walks) and get the kind which has a screw on a pad, no the kind that you screw directly on the camera (too long to do and undo).
