Photographer’s Note

A small raffinery (?) close to North Cape that just screamed for my attention - being a lover of tech/nature contrasts. The snow in the foreground - actually I have cropped out some of it - is due to my (prior) lack of a tripod, I had to place the cam in the snow.

If you have adjusted your screen properly (and shut the blinds) you will see the mountain side (and the deep blue sky!) above.

In my monitor I can even see the dark blue sky above the mountain..colors of the reflections are very nice..especially the pink at the very right...beautiful and thank you..

Stunning contrast between nature and technology. Those mountains behind make this picture. And human creations seem so small and fragile compared to magnificent nature.

Lovely nightshot. Is it just me or are the lights slightly colored? It gives a very nice effect with the white snow. The reflections in the water are great, of course. but best of all is the mountain wall in the background. Great one!

Excellent night shot Edvard. Yes, the exposure is excellent, and it all looks great on my monitor ;) I have too been receiving comments on my night exposures, and your comments are encouraging.

Your picture too screamed for my attention. At first I thought it was a structure inside a big cavern.

Yes I could see the mountain behind the refinery.And you actually handheld this for 8 seconds ! You must have iced in your blood !

Other than a few spots of overexposed areas such as on the storage tank near the water, and the water below the yard, you did good.

Maybe next time, bring your tripod and I hope HP have ND filter for your camera.

Wow, it's really worth having a second look at this image. I didn't see the mountain at first, but now, it adds an amazing depth to the picture. Good shot!

A photo nocturna of great quality therefore nocturna always has more difficulty in reaching the perfection what it is not the case here therefore is excellent, magnifica.
