Facade of belts

Shop windows are often a rich source of inspiration to me.

Here you see two rows of various belts.
This could be inspiration for an architect when he/she has to design a facade of a modern office building.
It gives a good example how to bring variation in a strictly geometric pattern.

In the WS I show you how the use of this pattern in a real building with a Belt Facade can be integrated.
I used the front facade of the City-theatre of Almere.

Hi Rob,
That is excellent and a suitable title, as it really looks like a building's facade!!! The framing is super with straight horizontals and verticals

Dag Rob,

Ik had het eerst niet door dat het allemaal riemen waren met sluiting.
Het is erg verwonderlijk hoe somige mensen worden geïnspieerd tot deze mooie decoratie, ik zit nog steeds bij mijn oude stijlen en gedachten in de architecture, oud maar mooi en niet versleten is mijn leuze.
Maar ik kan volledige achter jongen mensen staan want iedere decennia moet zijn kenmerk hebben.

Hoi Rob, ik dacht even dat ik naar psot moderne gevel keek. Sterk gecomponeerd met een gebalanceerde belichting. Smullen voor de grafische fotografen - bedankt!

I fully understand that pattern like this could be a great inspiration for an architect and it really looks like a facade. It quite clear that irregular shapes, repeated form and the play of the light are very important for what we consider good architecture. TFS this great picture and have a nice day!

nice this facade of the belts that have presented us with very nice graphistic way and at the some time a minimalistic one.The verticals and horizontals lines make your capture 'particular'.Clever your idea with the colours and the light to be nice.Informative your note too.

Toen zag ik het beeld in miniatuur Dat vond ik het rooster van een gebouw en ik was verbaasd over het feit dat veel in granaatwerper.
Originele foto met de grote symmetrie en detail. Uitstekende graphics.

tu gardes cet art de faire ressortir de l'esthétique et du graphisme en partant d'objets banaux mais souvent bien agencés.
Une photo qui ne trahit ni cette règle, ni ton talent à l'appliquer.

Hi Rob,
Prachtig om al deze riemen te zien in deze Haagse etalage, vooral ook in een erg mooi licht. Het leuke aan de foto is ook dat de gespen op verschillende hoogtes zitten, wat de strakke lijnen van het rek op de achtergrond breekt.

Olá Rob, another very creative work with a funny "aplication" in WS. I actually thought it was a "real" facade in the thumbnails. Your images are always intriguing and confusing which is interesting because it makes one questions things. An inspiring image, for sure, specially for architects. The light effect also makes the pattern shine beautifully.
