Photographer’s Note
Since the Dutch Railway didn't order new trains in time, and because of more people started travelling by train (don't ask me why, cause I don't like them ;), the company had to buy older trains from Germany and Belgium. These have less comfort than the Dutch trains, but as I've heard from foreigners, they are clean and qualitive compared to theirs. Anyway, took this photo in an empty train and thought the perspective was pretty nice.
Photoshop: colorize and cleared out one person who was sitting all in the end. So don't tell anyone I erased this person ;)

I like this...great colors. The feeling of emptiness is overpowering here. Just two things: if it could be done, and I'm sure it can with a lot of work in PS, to get rid of the light on the left side and the reflection of a light on the right would improve this image tremendously. Look: the whole image is in darkness, it works like this wonderfully, but you've got these two bright areas that distract from the viewing somewhat. Removing them would make this excellent. Anyway, good job and good idea for a shot.

A completelt different view of a scene we all are familiar with. This is excellent.

Very original idea of capturing the inside of a wagon, well seen! Lacks some sharpness though. Agree with Fil regarding the light areas. Perhaps a pitty that you sweeped away that person, it might have given the shot more character. Probably it also would have resulted in another title (Empty train vs A Lonely Traveller :)

To me this feels very "film noir" - so top marks for atmosphere! I like the composition, the way it leads the eye nicely to the end of the carriage. The colours are nice and warm and nostalgic. Well done!

Did you ever fall asleep in the last late night city train to go back home. I once did. that's typically what you first see when you wake up : a dull and somber place illuminated with harsh lights. A debate is focusing on whether lights should be cloned out, i don't think they should, they enhance the anxiety oozing from that pic and bring some kind of nightmare lighting quality.
As for the missing person, it depends on the point of view : is he or are you the hangovered sleeper in the train?

it is well taken in photograph that makes an image strange and beautiful, framing is very interesting.

Nice work!
Great atmosphere due to the used colourizing and perfectly framed.
I think Hitchcock would have loved to use this wagon as a location... ;-)

Very nice shot. You captured the atmosphere very well and also caught a good moment too because WHEN ARE THE TRAINS EVER NOT CROWDED IN HOLLAND? ;) Very well composed too. Artsy!
