This is the smallest airstrip used for commercial flights in the world. Only 400 meter long. The airstrip belongs to the island of Saba, one of the 6 main islands of the Dutch Antilles. Saba is basically one mountain (Moun Scenery) of 800 meters high with some small villages. The island is perfect for light trekking.
If you go here, I can strongly recommend the Eco-lodge. They said it has the best food on the island and I can confirm that. Delicious. Next to that the cabins are directly in the rain forest. |
