Hallo Jaap,
Het blauw linksboven vind ik net iets teveel van het goede. Het ziet er wat on-realstisch uit. Verder kan ik alleen maar lof spreken over de foto. Hoe jij toch maar weer iedere keer weer zoiets weet te vinden en te presenteren vind ik heel erg knap. Jij reist amper, maar toch laat je Nederland van een kant zien die veel mensen aanspreken. Eingelijk zou je een full-frame camera verdienen en die foto's moeten gaan verkopen...schitterend.

Great reflection shot, as usual, nice colors, if a bit too much saturated. Yellow flag is a great detail against the blue sky. I've been there last year, saw the castle but didn't have such a good light.

U bent reeds ver gereden voor deze goede foto.
Utrecht is niet vlak bij bij Dordrecht!
Maar u bracht een mooie foto mee, dus het was de moeite.
Hier past uw vierkant formaat zeer goed, ware het niet dat ik wel zou durven de breedte te nemen, omdat er een blijkbaar een mooie vijver rond ligt.
Voor de foto verder alleen maar positief nieuws, streng van kleur, goede samenstelling, en schitterende weerspiegelingen.

This is a great shot with a fine reflection. The reflection gives the shot nice balance and depth while adding outstanding deep color. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF. The long exposure here seems to have allowed for very good saturation and clarity.

The colours are just superb, especially the intense blue of the sky and water and the yellow flag. The building is so sharp and I like the effect of the grass in the reflection. The wispy clouds add lots of atmosphere too.

Hi Jaap,
I had no idea that the Kaiser (I presume) resided in this home. The Kaiser wasn't a bad person, just an incompetent eccentric who was in way over his head in his position and he had horrible advice from the arrogant and self-serving German military high command. He never should have fired Bismarck in 1890. Bismarck was no saint by any means, but I believe that his leadership and his "Realpolitik" vision would have prevented WWI if he could have stayed on as Chancellor of Germany for a few more years. I don't blame the Kaiser at all for retiring in this beautiful residence for the last few years of his life. At least he had a few years of peace after the greatest human disaster of all time, WWI (which led to WWII). Your photograph is fabulous and your oustanding notes are a prime example of how important good notes are for the Trek Earth forum. Superb!

Fantastic clarity in the picture with the castle, in very good light. The blue sky is excellent with the streaky clouds. Like your inclusion of the grasses in the FG as well. IMO, you could perhaps have moved a step behind to catch the full reflection. Otherwise excellent as always!

when i see your pictures i almost like to buy a hasselblad camera. i like also the 6*6 format. also i am very impressed buy your technic of post production, may i ask ou if you used photomatix and if yes can you share your settings you are doing generally or do you use only hihgligt tool ?

Hello Jaap,

I don't know how why you chose the square format but it seems you know what you're doing.
All the images in your gallery are squared and not panoramic or 4:3
The placement of your object suits fine though.
This one here has a great colour too.
Surely its something different and interesting from other TE members, did your previous camera was a lubitel. I remember my father's Lubitel capturing with the same square format, it still works though. :)

Ook van deze hou ik wel, door uw weerspiegeling die perfect en mooi past in de vijver, goed bekeken Jaap.
Nederland mag trots op u zijn met wat u laat zien op deze site.
