Photographer’s Note

This is a picture from my walk in december 2007 at the Vogelenzangpark (English: Birdsong park)in Spijkenisse. The Vogelenzangpark is a nature park where I often go to. It's close to my home and it's a very nice park just to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Dag Nel,

This is an extreme view while everything frozen. Frozen canal and trees are giving wonderful depth and the contrasts between sky and ground are very nice.

Hello Nel. A classical photo from the winter. Hoarfrost and cold weather, which one feels as a viewer. Everything rests. The time seems to have stopped. A picture worth seeing. Best regards, Wolfgang.

December 22, 2007 is probably one of the days the Dutch went out and took most photographs!
These awesome conditions is very inviting, with the frozen vegetation blessed by the bright sunshine...
Strong diagonal composition, and the varied light adds life!

Nel,

This is a very beautiful photo, but looks too cold for me. All my life I live in a warm climate places. Good natural color, could use a little sharpening. I love the tree cover with snow or frost. composition is good with the road and channel lead you into the horizon.

Hi Nel,
The thick coating of frost on the reeds and trees has really emphasised the winter cold and is in stark contrast to the clear blue sky and warm light.The view down the river just seems to go on forever....nicely composed.
