Walking in Amsterdam at night can be surprising: I forgot to read a little detail on my map. I was looking at this street, thinking "wah, beautiful lights, let's take a picture". Then, I looked on my left, saw something that made me think "what was that detail on the map again ?" "Red Light District". I was right in the middle of this... place. Didn't know where to look, then thought about the water. Escaped quickly.

The Red Light District of Amsterdam is the part of the city where you can find lots (and lots) of sex shops, sex museums, and... sex temples. Prostitution is a legal job in the Netherlands, and it's full of choice there: whatever you're looking for, you'll find it... More info here (in Dutch and English).
