Fern and wooden floor Photo

Photographer’s Note

This morning, while drinking a cup of tea on the terras I spotted the nice lighting on this fern that was growing through the wooden floor in our garden. I liked the lighting and shadow on the grooved wooden floor. Hope you like it too.

This photo is really original, with this leaf of fern emerging in the middle of this wooden floor. Colors and light are rendered finely. Here, the atmosphere, although warmhearted by its soft colors, is minimalist. Simple and beautiful composition, Jan.
I like a lot.

Hello Jan, I love the way the grooves in the floor repeat the pattern of the leaves: parallel lines. Nice composition.

Very nice and very simple. The illumination really makes the fern stand out, and the DOF helps a lot. Whats that yellow thin? a little distracting, perhaps another fern.

Lovely and simple, its funny how something so small could catch our eye and be so appreciated. I love the sun on the green and the different shaded areas. Well taken

i like the symmetry here with the lines caused by the fern's leaves, the lines in the floor and the shadow. nice close-up pic. the only thing that bugs me a bit is two leaves on the left side that look like they're overexposed, possibly from the sunlight reflecting from them. good job though, and nice cam, i have the same model and i love it! hehe :)
