Photographer’s Note
By day bicycles and riders are everywhere in Amsterdam, generally methodical and unhurried, the bike being functional and not for sport. By night there are fewer riders, but one may still appear, whooshing by like a ghost on a dark side street.

Hi Ken,
Nice atmosphere in the night, I like your POV with the bike on the foreground and the biker in the blur... Good framing !

Stéphanie.

Excellent night shot, with great timing to be able to catch that bicycle as it went past. I like the way you divided up the frame with that line right down the middle, and the street to one side and the parked bicycle on the other side. Nicely done!

Nicely conceived and executed composition. That foreground bicycle is very, very sharp for a handheld slow shutter. My only criticism is I wish the foreground bicycle rim weren't cropped at the lower edge but that is minor.
Well done!

lovely light here Ken! nice comp, textures, and subtle colours. great idea for a shot too (I like the do not enter street sign the cyclist is ignoring). I kindof wish the cyclist were larger in the frame though, or if some feet were in the shot, just a touch off balance...
hope all is well on your side of the world!

Hi Ken,
Excellent mood here. This is so Amsterdan, with bikes and narrow streets. The light is perfect. The composition with the bike on the foreground and the moving biker on the back works for me. The wall textures add to the scene.

hello, ken. nice, street mood capture with an interesting idea of the combination of the ghost in action and the still bycicle at the wall. the sccene does seem authentically amsterdam.
i would have tried to use exposure a bit faster (1/16 at ISO 1600) than 1/8 second to get more solid "ghost mass" in the composition. other than that, my compliments and TFS.
regards,
kristaps
