A first attempt at macro with the new macro lens. I saw this wasp enjoying the sun on this leaf and couldn't resist it.
I made a crop of the original shot and adjusted the levels a bit.

Op zich zeker geen slechte poging Jan,
Alleen de compositie is niet echt veel,Compositie bij de macro zeker van belang, vervolgens het licht. Maar nogmaals zeker geen slechte poging, goed werk

I'm pretty sure this is a male (from the long antennae) Norwegian wasp (from the pattern),Dolichovespula norwegica. It's a nice shot with lots of detail and nice DoF. Good one!

It seems your new lens is working very well, focus is spot on the wasp & DOF is good. You might consider stopping down 1/3 or possibly even 2/3 to avoid the glare from the sun on the leaf next time, these glossy leaves are sometimes hell to shoot without glare ;-)
