Photographer’s Note

last weekend i went with some friends to an music/cross festival... so i thought of shooting my sportphoto for the hunt... this is the 'black cross' named so because of the huge amounds of mud you get thrown over yourself when you're not contstanlly aware of the 'danger'... theese races are verry funny to see... imagine a complete bungalow-tent racing against a motorized wheelchair...

I'm definetely cheering for Ernie! Really fun shot and an exellent choice for the scav hunt. The colours are perfect and I'm glad to see that Leica has sobered up.

Hey, Jorrit, nice photo, but your note is incorrect... it's named black cross because it's origin, it comes from illegal races driven about 40 years ago. more info & pics www.zwartecross.nl

This is a really funny shot. Looks like Darth Vader is about to catch up with Ernie (uhoh!). You pressed that shutter at the precisely the right moment to capture this action. well done.

That' a pretty funny shot Jorrit. He seems to be able to ride pretty well, considering so many of his parts are mechanical :-) Points tomrorow.

Ernie is the big yellow canarin on the right? I don't have this classical culture or maybe in Italy we call him in a different way...a very strange competition ;)

Very cool shot. The colours contrast nicely with the natural surroundings. Would love to know who won in the end :)
