[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The "Hoge Veluwe" National park near Otterloo. It's rare to find so much open land in the Netherlands. The park is home to the Kroller-Muller Museum, one of the best museum buildings in the world, housing a fine collection of Van Gogh works. This picture was taken in the late afternoon, after a brief rain shower. The light was unearthly, I think I captured a faint sense of it...

...You captured a lot of that unreal light:)
This is a superb photo and I`m lucky to be able to look at it.
Thank you,

The light is fantastic, but the picture is lacking in subject - neither your shadow, nor the piece of tree are substantial enough. I think you had to search further to make something of it.

Hi Chris,
You managed to catch the light. It looks great, almost like a painting.
There is something special in this scene, the dark light and the dead tree.

Btw, is it you standing on the right?

Hi Chris! Very nice light, sky and shadows in your capture! I like how the shadows converge forming a strong feeling of perspective. The foto might lack "subject" as such, but I still enjoy the atmosphere. And who says, atmosphere could not be the "subject", right? :) My compliments!

Regards,
Kristaps

p.s. on a nitpicky note: the foto seems a bit tilted (the horizon line), but it might be due to the meadow actually being on a hill slope.

Hi Chris,
What I like most about this shot, is the light conditions! Awesome! Very dreamy capture.
Well done,

What a nice shot ! The colors and framing are really good and your shadow brings a strange atmosphere... So congratultaions and sorry for my poor english...

tremendous romantic capture, worthy of the great Dutch and Flemish masters. Insprired. Janos

well captured! I like the colour tone of the photo, the amber light is giving me a very warm feeling. worth to mention is that your shadow is also in the scene!

A very inspired shot with colours that don't evoque the Netherlands to me, rather the tropics !
Splendid light and clouds...
TFS, bravo,
Cath.

Hi Chris,
I like the light and the warm colors. The time you chose made the shadows great! The light on the cloud is an amazing phenomenon. Thanks.
Best wishes,
Athanasios.

Hello Chris,
This is an evocative shot. By including your shadow you give the image a sense of scale and whimsy. Your shadow complements that of the trees. The menacing sky is beautifully lit...
Beautiful.
José
