Photographer’s Note
The 3rd day of the visit to the Netherlands took me to
the nice town of Delft. The weather was good when i
parked the car, but as soon as i climbed up the
countless steps (376) to the top of the Nieuw Kerk (New Church) to get some nice trek-views it started to rain, so i have to apologize for the white sky and the dark atmosphere of this view showing the market place.
The New Church was built between 1396 and 1496.
Inside you will find the mausoleum of Prince William of Orange and the royal burial vaults which are not
open to the public.

Hallo Thorsten,
This is a very nice overlook. The pov is excellent choosen. I have never been to Delft, so no idea were you stood, but i must say you have a great eye is seeing things. And enormous depth and a very colourful composition despite the rain...i like it a lot.

Hi, my friend!
I like very much your composition. Nice long perspective. Good idea. Beautiful old architecture. Nice panorama. Is raining but colours are good. Well done.

Hallo Thorsten!
Also - ich find's toll!
Grüße aus dem brütendheißen Siegen - aber ze Kölle wird'S schlimmer sein ... ein schönes Wochenende!

Weather in Holland is always unpredictable, even in summer. However, here gray sky is compensated by colorful tents in the square.
The square definitely looks much busier than in the middle of winter.

I think you captured the obsessive neatness of the Dutch very well here. Werner Herzog, for his film "Nosferatu", filled the same with a marketplace with 11,000 rats...
